Baseball
Mustang tests: The Cheyenne Mustangs competitive youth baseball organization will hold three separate age-based tryouts for its 2022-23 teams.
The age of players is determined by their age on May 1, 2023.
All practice will take place at Pioneer Park, 1335 Talbot Court.
The tryout for the 8, 9 and 10 year old teams will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 20. The tryout for 11 and 12 year olds will take place from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, August 20. .
The trial for 13 and 14 year olds will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, August 21.
Basketball
YMCA Youth League: Registration for the YMCA Youth Fall Basketball League closes September 17. Late registration runs September 18-24 and includes a $20 late fee.
The league is for children aged 3 to 12 and the season begins on October 1.
The cost is $52 for YMCA members and $73 for non-members for the 3-4 year old and 5-6 year old divisions. The cost for the 7-8 division is $65 for members and $80 for non-members. The cost for the 9-10 division is $70 for members and $85 for non-members, and the 11-12 division is $80 for members and $95 for non-members.
K-2 Co-Rec Youth League: Registration for the city’s co-rec league for children in kindergarten through second grade begins September 6. Late registration runs from October 21 to November 21. 3. The cost is $60 per player, plus a $25 late fee, if there is space.
Practices begin on December 12 and the season includes a six-game schedule. Players will receive a team jersey, basketball, photo and prize.
League from third to sixth year: Registration for the city’s youth league for students in grades three through six has begun. Late registration runs September 16-29.

Bike
Ride for the view: Registration is open for the Ride for Sight, which will be held on Sunday, August 7 in Cheyenne.
Registration closes Saturday, August 6. The events are aimed at riders of all ages. The entry fee for runners 18-64 is $65, while runners 65 and older are $55. Riders 17 and under are $20.
A family ride is also available. Fees for all age groups increase by $5 on race day.

Functioning
Kicks 4 Kidz: The Kicks 4 Kidz 0.5K will take place on Tuesday, August 16 at Cheyenne Depot Plaza.
Registration closes Friday, August 12.
Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. The “race” begins at 6 p.m. The cost is $25 per person. Children 12 and under are free.
Proceeds benefit students in Laramie County School District 1 and Laramie County School District 2 who need athletic shoes for physical education class.

Soccer
CSC Adjudicator Training: The Cheyenne Soccer Club is sponsoring a referee training on Saturday, August 6 at North Cheyenne Community Park.
The training takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is aimed at youth and adult officials. Young officials must be at least 13 years old and have completed an online training course prior to the course.
CSC Youth Recreational League: Registration for the Cheyenne Soccer Club Recreational Youth League closes today.
Registration may be split into a full season or a fall or spring season only. The application deadline for spring only is February 28, 2023.
The registration software on cheyennesoccer.com will automatically place each child in the correct age group for the upcoming season, based on their date of birth.
The Stingers mixed age group under 4 is $105 for the full season or $75 for fall or spring only. The cost for the under-6 mixed division and the under-8 girls and boys divisions is $135 for the full season, or $115 for the fall or spring only.
Girls and boys under 10 and under 12 are $165 for the full season or $126 for fall or spring only.
The under-14 mixed division is $165 for the full season or $126 for fall or spring only. The high school recreational division costs $126 for its only season, which is the fall.
A $5 discount is available for players from the same household.
Players under 6 in high school will receive a full uniform (including socks), while Stingers under 4 will receive a CSC t-shirt.
Free camp: The University of Wyoming and Laramie County Community College women’s soccer teams will co-host a free youth soccer clinic on Sunday, August 14 at the LCCC.
The clinic is for children ages 6 to 14 and operates from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Clinic attendees are invited to watch the Cowgirls and LCCC face off in an exhibition game at 7 p.m. on August 14 at Okie Blanchard Stadium in Cheyenne East.
YMCA Youth League: Registration for the Cheyenne YMCA Youth Soccer League closes August 13th.
The league is for children from 3 to 12 years old. Matches will be played on Saturday afternoon.
Cost for 3 and 4 year olds is $40 for YMCA members and $60 for non-members. Registration fees for 5 and 6 year olds are $45 for members and $65 for non-members.
Fees for 7 and 8 year olds are $55 for members and $75 for non-members. The cost for 9 and 10 year olds is $65 for members and $85 for non-members, while the fee for 11 and 12 year olds is $70 for members and $95 for non-members. members.
Soft ball
East side: The Cheyenne East Softball Program will host a softball camp from 9 a.m. to noon on August 11-12 at Converse Softball Complex Field No. 3, 3800 Converse Ave.
The camp is for students entering grades two through eight this upcoming school year.
The registration fee is $35 per camper.
Volleyball
Adult League: Men’s and Women’s Volleyball League Registration Ends TodayThursday August 4. Late registration runs August 5-18.
The cost is $420 per team and $50 for late fees. The season starts on September 12. Teams are guaranteed 10 games and a knockout tournament.
Boys team: The Cheyenne Volleyball League will hold tryouts for the men’s competitive volleyball teams from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, August 13 at the BEAST Foundation, 2900 Sunflower Road.
The tryouts are for boys ages 12-18, and teams will face off in the fall in the Rocky Mountain Boys’ Division. CVL hopes to field teams in the 12-14 division and the 15-18 division.
Training of junior referees: The City of Cheyenne will be hosting a free training for future youth volleyball officials at 6 p.m. on August 23 at the Romero Park Youth Activity and Community Center, 1317 Parsley Blvd.
Officials will learn the proper mechanics, make correct calls and manage the game.
