The Greater China team that will participate in the East Asian Super League (EASL) from October will participate as a guest ball club in the PBA Season 47 Governors Cup.

Free agents from China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan will make the Phoenix roster, which will be led by Liu Quansheng, former chief executive of the Chinese Basketball Association.
The team already has a coach, but would make an official announcement soon.
Commissioner Willie Marcial said the PBA board has already approved the participation of the team representing Greater China next season, which will also follow conference eligibility rules.
