Brampton residents looking to stay fit and have fun this fall can sign up for one of the city’s two upcoming adult sports leagues.

Beginning in August, the City of Brampton will open registration for the Adult Basketball and Ultimate Frisbee Sports Leagues at the Save Max Sports Centre.

Residents 18 and older will be able to sign up with an existing team or as free agents. Each player registered in both leagues will receive a reversible jersey for both “home” and “away” games.

The city’s basketball league will run from September 21 to December 14. The suggested team roster is nine to 12 players, and all play will be officiated by the Ontario Association of Basketball Officials.

The Ultimate Frisbee Fall League will run from October 13th to December 14th. Suggested rosters are nine to 11 players, and matches will not be officiated.

The city says leagues are part of Brampton Recreation’s new opportunities, and more new leagues will be announced for the winter season.

All games will be played at the Save Max Sports Center at Dixie Rd. and Sandalwood Pkwy.

Registration for the Adult Basketball and Ultimate Frisbee leagues opens August 1st. For more information, visit www.brampton.ca/sportsleague.
