The NLEX Road Warriors administered the final rites of the Alaska Milk Aces’ participation in the Philippine Basketball Association.
The Road Warriors booked just their second appearance in the PBA Final Four while ending the farewell tour of Alaska with an empathic 96-80 win in their PBA Quarterfinals knockout encounter. Governors’ Cup at Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday night.
Cameron Clark shrugged off a cut to his forehead caused by an elbow from Jeron Teng and helped NLEX into a second-quarter breakaway en route to victory that slammed his way into the semis against the Barangay Ginebra Kings.
The Road Warriors rebounded from a disappointing loss on Wednesday to claim the final PBA Governors Cup Final Four spot, joining top seed Magnolia, No. 4 Meralco and No. 6 Barangay Ginebra.
NLEX and Ginebra open their best-of-five semifinals at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Mall od Asia Arena.
