Top attractions during home games of the NBA Finals


MILWAUKEE – This Sunday, Milwaukee will not only host its first NBA Finals game in nearly five decades, but it will also be an opportunity to showcase all it has to offer in the global spotlight.

With dozens of great dining options, check out The public market, located in the Third historic district. The market is also surrounded by a handful of restaurants, bars and shops.


Visitors often confuse the lake with an ocean because of its spectacular views. Pull up a blanket on the beach or visit one of the nearby museums.

“The lakeside is my favorite place,” says Bendu Dwolo. Dwolo recently moved to Milwaukee from Texas and is trying to find an opportunity to visit the lakeside.


Wendell R., a visitor from out of town, was stunned as he strolled by the lake with his selfie, snapping photos from all angles.

“This is my first time participating, so I can’t wait to see the beautiful places,” said Wendell.

Lakeshore State Park is also a great place to get kids to see the giant colorful birds that overlook the water.

New Immersive Van Gogh the experiment has also just opened at the Wisconsin Center.

Omar Shaikh, the owner of the popular downtown steakhouse, Carnevor, acts as chairman of the Visit Milwaukee Board and is excited to see how many people change their perspective on the city.

“You know, we’ve been saying this for a long time. It’s one of the biggest cities in the country, and for everyone to come here and experience it is something we can’t wait for. Just the fact that we got here is huge. I can’t wait to meet so many people who come to the city, “Shaikh said.
