Mase’s second album Double was born in 1999. Then, he took a five-year break from music. He returns to the music world with his third album Happy to see you again in the year 2004.

Diddy claimed Mase owed him $3 million
Yes, you have read this eight. By making an appearance on The Breakfast Club, DJ Envy went on to say that Mase was accused of stealing money from one of his own artists in the same way Diddy was accused.
Envy asked Diddy if he considered the whole situation some kind of “I told you so” revelation. Diddy replied, “No, I don’t look at it like that.” He explained and said he had done nothing to Mase and called the previous claims “negative propaganda”.
Diddy continued: “[It] really tried to defile my legacy. I don’t like to just talk about people’s business and things like that… [but] I can’t let you follow me, because I’m here to be a leader and give direction, if you think I’m a bastard who will ever steal anything – My name is Diddy, Sean Combs, I don’t never took anything from anyone a day in my life. All I ever gave was an opportunity and more money than a person made.
Diddy ever steal money from his artists?
Shortly after, Charlamagne asked Diddy if he ever stole money from his own artists, to which he replied, “Never”. Charlamagne also said that in the past, several artists accused Diddy of stealing money from them and he also asked her the reason behind it.
Diddy replied, “People have this thing called the withdraw button, when you get to a certain point and the money is low you have to figure out who to blame. I have all my receipts. Then he called Mase and said he actually owed him money.
Diddy added: “Just generally the Mase thing. I made an album with Mase. An album. How much money do you think I owe this guy. And then he became a fake pastor and went out and scammed people. And you’re all gonna let him smear the god’s name. Anyone can come in. Bring your receipts. But I don’t play. I’m back outside and fighting for us. And I also do fights for me.
Let us tell you an interesting fact, shortly after releasing his debut album named Harlem World through Diddy’s Bad Boy Records, Mase also released two other albums under his label.
Then Diddy said, “Mase owes me $3 million.” He claimed he gave the money to Mase as an advance on an album he never returned. He continued: “These are facts, I got the receipts. …And I’m not going to go back and forth with Mase. I don’t go back and forth with anyone. I’ll just speak for myself now. …Anyone who thinks I owe them, show me the receipt and you’ll be paid within 24 hours.
Mase responded to Diddy’s claims
According to reports from TMZ, on Wednesday, Mase responded to Diddy’s claims. He said Diddy was angry with him because he rejected the opportunity to apologize to him.
In a video posted to Instagram and TikTok, Mase said, “You see how people act when you don’t let them on stage and make their fake apologies so they can promote this wacky little song.”
